Why did my garage door remote stop working?
The most common cause is a dead battery, followed by a remote that lost its programming, an opener antenna problem, or the opener lock button being on. We check each one and fix the cause.
Can you program a new or universal remote?
Yes. We program manufacturer and universal remotes to LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie and Craftsman openers, and we show you how to add more remotes later.
I lost my remote. Can you make sure no one can use it?
Yes. We can clear your opener’s memory and reprogram the remotes you still have, so a lost or stolen remote will no longer open your door.
My keypad will not take the code. Can you reset it?
Usually, yes. We reset the keypad, set a new code, and replace the keypad if it is dead. See our program or reset guide for the steps.
Do I need to reprogram my remotes after a new opener?
Yes. A new opener needs each remote and keypad programmed to it. We do that as part of any opener installation, and we can also reprogram existing remotes.
